Edwin Mingard

An Intermission

Edwin Mingard is a visual artist making socially-engaged moving image work, alongside illustration, photography, print and installation. An Intermission was made collaboratively with a network of young people experiencing homelessness in Stoke-On-Trent, UK. With resources to support us, Mingard saw young people who’d been living on the streets and in shelters be skilled interviewers, camera operators, choreographers, experimental musicians.

If you’d like to support the young people in An Intermission, you can do so by purchasing the film’s soundtrack, with all profits going to the group as they take their next steps in life. It’s available as a limited-run artists’ edition of 500 vinyl records, the first 100 of which are made from smoked red vinyl. It’s also available as a digital download. Both are available from bored.of.works
