Refinery 1 is one of two large paintings that, through the drips and spills, questions the thinking behind the global oil industry. From 2011-2013, Day Bowman collaborated with the multi-national music group Trans Global Underground and the filmmaker, Ian Knox, on The Urban Wastelands Project.
