Boring People
Is it possible to capture a portrait with unfiltered emotion when the sitter is aware the camera is watching? The artist worked with psychologists to devise experiments to instil boredom using audio and time perception. Each person sat for up to an hour as they defied, resisted, then ultimately succumbed to boredom. Boring People was a yearlong project, which culminated in a series of 21 portraits.
