Carl Hopgood

Immortalising a fleeting moment in time is the aim of Carl Hopgood’s multi-disciplinary sculptural practice, as seen in his Digital Taxidermy – Video Projected Sculptures series. This modern take on the Victorian taxidermy bell jar using digital images re-contextualises moments from nature, in Humming Bird Heart Beat freezing one of the 1,200 beats per minute as a metaphor for love.
