Brandy Trigueros

Facial Unrecognition, from the series The Dadabyte Theater

An ode to Dada and Bauhaus, The Dadabyte Theater explores the technologised body within the present Fourth Industrial Revolution. Utilising incamera auto-portraiture, Brandy Trigueros reflects on the configurations of the contemporary cyborg. Autonomous machines of war, labour, pleasure, care, companionship and other computational systems of control and comfort are produced within this dizzying systemic capitalist merry-go-round. By using industrial products, Trigueros illustrates the contradictions and complexities of humanity’s reliance on technology, whilst questioning our own agency and autonomy in the 21st century.
