Beverley Cornwell

Beverley Cornwell is a Scottish Borders-based photographer who focuses on observing habitats, documenting the unnoticed through overlooked details. The artist works in analogue and digital media to reflect upon the interactions between physical and virtual worlds. In Astronoids, objects are manipulated into astronomical bodies, transforming the familiar into an exploration of unknown frontiers. Pale pink crescents formed beneath the curve of a pipe appear as distant planets, whilst endless swirls of cream light resemble images from the James Webb Telescope: a reminder of humanity’s continuing expansion beyond Earth. | @bevymay
