Ben Eggleton

Eggelton’s sculptures are a comment on the steady increase of dementia. The figures’ welded encasement suggests the sufferers’ physical and mental entrapment within their own bodies. Each person’s deteriorating condition is portrayed through the use of fragmented metallic squares and rectangles, which symbolise a memory that has become disjointed.
