With a previous discourse largely made up of installations, sculptures and design, Dr. Aldea’s recent endeavours make sense of our place through virtual texts and images. The use geometric patterns and representations of online viruses in natural environments in Out of the Black examines a contemporary, post-industrial society which traverses both natural and manmade elements.
