Poignant Histories
Daniel Alexander’s series, When War is Over, is on display as part of CONTACT Photography Festival, Toronto. The body of work examines the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, considering the enduring legacy of a large-scale act of commemoration. The artist uses a range of stylistic approaches, including documentary, aerial and personal encounters to make sense of the important monument.
