Lydia Bauman: Video Profile

Poland-born artist and art historian Lydia Bauman lives and works in London. Deeply moved by the fragility of the environment, her mixed media paintings harness the beauty and timelessness of the natural world; she believes that her use of unconventional materials such plaster, resin, beeswax, sand and gold leaf help convey the materiality of nature more effectively than traditional oils or acrylics on canvas. The resulting works are displayed worldwide and feature in numerous corporate collections.
