Questioning the boundaries between art and photojournalism, practitioners featured in Light in Wartime at apexart, New York, offer new perspectives on contemporary conflict. The images – captured by photographers such as Richard Mosse, David Levinthal and Jo Ractliffe – address themes of displacement, investigating the influence of mainstream media on the collective consciousness whilst bringing hidden, deeply human truths to the fore.
