Charlotte Pann

Austrian artist Charlotte Pann focuses on what she refers to as “the phenomenon of relation as a base for and as a result of spatial constellation”.

In her work she questions the quality and variability of the surrounding space as a source of information, as well as a medium of information. The alleged “nothing” in which proximity and distance, separation and connection are being shaped and dynamised – this is the driving force of her artistic production.

Pann focuses on the potential of the “in between”, she hopes that after creating conceptual pieces that communicate interconnectedness, it should encourage response and a want to bring about a stimulus for constructive action.

The work shown here is In the Wood, a walk-in installation which has been executed in various locations since 2013:
In the Wood (Semperdepot Edition). Semperdepot Vienna, 2014.
In the Wood (OXO Tower Edition). OXO Tower Wharf London, Celeste Prize, 2016.
In the Wood (Arsenale Venice Edition). Arsenale Venice, Arte Laguna Prize, 2016.
