Two exhibitions at Michael Hoppen Gallery, London, celebrate the work of Jacques Henri Lartigue. Chosen by Paul Smith, the selection tracks the photographer’s work from 1950-1970, and takes shape as a series of spontaneous yet highly curated snapshots. Each image captures a sense of joy and individuality, offering a rich sense of paradise. As Smith notes: “I’ve always admired Henri Lartigue as the master of the caught moment, so many of his best photos are about a spontaneous moment.”
Until 27 July. Find out more here.
