The Other Art Fair celebrates its 10th edition with a special presentation by guest artist Tracey Emin. Opening on 15 October, the fair will showcase work by 130 emerging artists from across the world, hand-picked by art collector Sven Hansen and art dealer/ curator James Birch. A pioneering platform for uncovering new talent, The Other Art Fair enables artists to network with potential buyers and collectors, and ultimately launch their careers within the contemporary art world. In its 10-year history, the fair has established international recognition with events now hosted in Bristol and Sydney. Featured artists include Brazilian photographer Carolina Mizrahi, Spanish artist Marta Corada, illustrator Kerry Eggleton, and many more.
For this year’s programme at the Old Truman Brewery in London, The Other Art Fair has invited Emin International to present two new limited edition prints and a poster made exclusively for The Other Art Fair. Right Here and In My Head are taken from two gouache paintings created by the artist and each print will be available in an edition of 50. Meanwhile, the poster, But Yea, takes inspiration from Emin’s neon artwork of the same name made in 2005. Each work will be sold and hand signed by the artist at the fair.
Accompanying highlights in 2015 include Rebecca Mason’s Neon Health Service Department of Light Therapy at The Green Room, sponsored by La Fee Absinthe; new permanent feature London First’s presentation of 20 emerging artists, many of whom will be exhibiting in the city for the first time; Street Feast founder Dominic Cools-Lartigue’s latest venture Assemble London; Photo 21’s showcase of images by upcoming photographers; an exclusive artwork from guest artist Sickboy printed by leading studio, Spike Print Studio; and a curated collection of short film highlights from fair partner Encounters Film Festival.
