Rachael Gallagher’s practice explores the sublimity of nature and an inability to recreate the awe one feels when viewing something such as the sea. Her work encapsulates the feeling of being so small in a universe that is so large. This feeling of sublimity ties with considerations of human existence and purpose. Why are we here, who was it created for and why? Her graduate work explores a single image, interpreted across a mixture of mediums including screen printing, foiling, imprinting and collage.
