Next Generation is an annual collaboration with London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. The 2019 August / September issue of Aesthetica marks the sixth instalment – featuring seven new talents entering the photographic sphere.
Featured above is Clare Hoddinott, a London-based artist using photography as her primary discipline. She graduated with an MA in Photography at the University of the Arts, London (LCC) in 2018 and is currently working as a photographer for Tate Britain.
Her work explores themes of truth and power in the modern world. Her practice takes place using almost entirely hand-made, pre-production processes; rejecting the inference that today’s visual culture should be controlled by high-tech, sophisticated mechanisms.
