María Sánchez creates surreal environments that aim to give the sensation of being immersed in a dreamlike or meditative state. Influenced by psychoanalysis, neuroscience, quantum phenomena and mysticism, her work explores different levels of consciousness and the worlds that exist within the self. Sánchez is currently based in Jupiter, Florida.
