New York-based Jingyi Wang specialises in oil paintings that focus on the relationship between nature and culture. Dualities – the fragile and the acute, the serious and the humorous, the poignant and the longing – are explored. The depiction of cacti “symbolise my feelings and attitude towards life; for me they signify a helpless state and nervous emotions.”
