Sadida Islam

With Space-pod Commercial interiors, Islam achieved an understanding about different interior styles, and recognised how diverse materials whether they are traditional or follow latest trends can be combined to create a balance within an interior. Islam was inspired by concepts of metamorphosis because, she prefers to think outside the box and be innovative. Interpreting the theme of metamorphosis allowed her to explore the idea of demonstrating the process of transformation within a single structure that can mutate and metamorphosise. Islam was further able to provide a visual journey through warm textures, patterns and through the transformation of materials from cedar wood to abode clay. As a designer, she wants to establish a link between technology and vernacular architecture to bring something new to the industry, as well as add value to society through her designs.
