Myriam Pindi

Myriam Pindi’s collection was developed from an increasing fascination and appreciation of Parisian high-end fashion. The pieces investigate the influence on streetstyle trends by exploring the effect of historical fashion on current styles today. Her design practice is driven by cultural identity and runway collections, which are inspired by French fashion. She has a determination to create abstract shapes influenced by Parisian quarters with an aim to normalise runway attire as part of mundane streetstyle. In order to achieve this, the dresses in her collection have accentuated silhouettes, and experiments with unusual materials such as foil and padded objects were introduced. However, sustainable materials have underpinned the collection by using organic wool. This creates unique forms of wearable art.
