Chloe Heffernan is an Irish-Mancunian illustrator. Heffernan produces a broad range of artwork, designs and illustrations. Her formative years were split between Manchester and the idyllic Irish countryside of Mayo. This apparent in her art; a fusion of brutalist line work and organic forms and subjects. She uses pen, paint, collage, and digital media drawing upon natural, pastoral and industrial themes. Taking influence from every-day experience, the associated memories, finding interest in their intricate details and hidden beauty. Chloe combines these parts to form powerful eclectic images – the stark aesthetic of a receipt alongside a detailed illustration of a country cottage, the organic curves of three chasing hares and their association with the medieval silk industry.
